Dear Jo,
I really can't thank you (and my hubby) enough for helping me through the labor and delivery of our beautiful daughter. We are so in love with her. Even though I was induced, you helped me thru the natural birth I wanted with no pain meds! The hospital staff seemed amazed and I was up and walking around right after you left. Our family keeps commenting on how alert Brie is... I think it has something to do with this natural birth! It's funny how you really do forget so much of what goes on during labor, so the birth notes and pictures you took are awesome to have. We think you're the best Jo!!!

Congratulations, Veda, on your new-baby-on- the-way!

We LOVED, loved, loved our doula, Jo Kilburn. We actually found her because she taught our HypnoBirthing class, which was also fabulous. I interviewed another couple of doulas while we were deciding, but we came back to Jo because we loved her gentle and professional manner, knew that she understood our Hypnobirthing approach, and we had developed a rapport with her through our classes.

I'm not sure of her experience at Sharp Mary Birch or with high-risk deliveries, but she was wonderful in every way for our unmedicated natural birth at Scripps Memorial. And, as you're looking for, she has vast experience with hypnosis techniques for birthing.

Jo was amazing, everything I hoped for in a doula. Jo gave me her all, she was there for me emotionally, physically and had sincere compassion. She was in for the long haul, my labor was almost 30 hours before my baby James arrived. Jo took the time to get to know me and my husband, Dave, and attended my check-up appts the last couple weeks of my pregnancy. Jo is a very warm person, very easy to be around and share things with. She has the nurturing side to her that allowed me to feel like I truly was being taken care of in a place I'd never been before. She was strong and loving through and through for me and Dave. She spoke on my behalf when needed and helped me deal with a very traumatic birth. She was and is simply amazing. I would want all women who are searching for a certified doula (and loving and compassionate) to hire Jo Kilburn. Without a doubt, she is everything wonderful and all about helping to provide women with "a precious birth" experience.
